Step into the heart of Taos's history with our restaurant and bar, housed in the town's oldest building, a living relic from the 16th century.
First built by the skilled hands of the Pueblo Indians, it once served as a vital outpost along the Chihuahua Trail, welcoming weary travelers and nomads with open arms.
However, this resilient structure has also endured its fair share of challenges, including partial destruction at one point. But, rising from adversity, it underwent a rebirth, and from the 17th to the 19th centuries, it found itself under the watchful gaze of the Spanish government.
At The Alley Cantina, every dish and every sip carries a piece of the past, turning a simple dining experience into a journey through time. Join us in celebrating the charm of our aged walls, where each bite is a nod to the enduring legacy of our beloved establishment.
Good for lunch. Great for a Saturday night! Attentive, caring staff. Great, I mean surprisingly great live music. Good pool table. The owner even comes in to sling drinks on Saturday night and they do tabs old fashioned style, with a name.
